So after watching the second part of the Dr.Who finale story for this series, I see great things coming in the future. So we haven’t had Riversong explained but my initial thought about her is that she will kill the doctor, they have hinted that she killed a good man, a hero to many and that’s why she ended up in prison. The church-military guys said that the doctor didn’t want to know who she had killed, hinting that it would be the doctor.Another thing could be that she killed Omega, as he was described as a hero to many.
The main bad-guy of the next season will be OMEGA that’s my guess anyhow. All the clues leads me to believe that Omega will be back, first off the pandorac could bring him back as It brought back all the other things that got erased/killed when it reshaped the universe.
My other guess is that It could be Sutekh that is the bad guys in the Christmas episode. As The doctor where sporting a fez in the last episodes, and they where in a museum, and in the pyramids of Mars episode it had a Egyptian theme. And the final scene in the Tardis when they where talking about an Egyptian god running wild on the Orient Express in space could just be a lead in to Omega being back. The voice controlling the Tardis is Omega and as he was responsible for the Time Lords being able to travel through time he knows all about the Tardis and Time Travel.
So a few episodes into the latest season of Dr.Who with Matt Smith, and here are my initial thoughts.
On the stories: Most of the stories have been really weak, not as epic as I would have hoped. The story “The Boarder” or whatever it was called was really good and probably the best one yet as an overall story. The other stories this season have had their ups and downs, maybe If I’m bored I write a longer review of the individual episodes. I just finished watching the episode “Pandorica Opens” and the episode was really, really good and it kinda made up for the weaker episodes of the current series.
Matt Smith does a good job as the doctor, even bordering on great. He still seems to be a bit awkward in the role, but that could just be the character haven’t found himself after the regeneration. Karen Gillian is kinda cute, but really doesn’t do it for me. And on top of that the character is really annoying, and so is the comedic sidekick Rory.
But overall the season is average, hopefully the next series will be a step up as the entire crew gets into the grove of things.
This was a short post, just to get something down as I havent had the time or the energy to write something!
Here is a little update on my current situation, I’ve been sick all Easter weekend and haven’t been able to do anything useful but I have been able to watch a whole bunch of crappy movies and run a few instances in WoW. Among the good things I watched was the start of series Five of Dr.Who and hopefully it will live up to the hype as Wrestle Mania this year didn’t live up to the tremendous build, but Ill get into Wrestling a bit later.
So here are my thoughts on the films I have watched during the Easter holiday in no particular order, I might have forgotten one or two films.
Perkins 14
The story sounded good, but the end result was far from good! This was a Zombie flick without Zombies, the main villains where in fact victims that had been kidnapped and turned into psycho-cannibal-zombies with the help of isolation and drugs, mainly PCP. The movie started out decent enough looked like a 70′s Italian horror movie, like Susperia, so I actually thought it had potential. It then degenerated into the psychological thriller where we saw the decline of the main characters sanity, well he didn’t have much sanity to begin with. The main plot centred around the main character trying to rescue his son that got abducted ten years ago, and the main character has started to doubt himself if he actually did enough to rescue/find his sin.
Twilight New Moon
Never got into the Twilight craze and I thought the first movie was rubbish and a waste of time. The second was slightly better than the first one on a few points but overall it lacked a compelling story and it was told in such a way that you blatantly knew that you have missed out on several story elements. This was very obvious with the entire wolf pack storyline, and this was despite the movie being over two hours long, the directors cut is probably going to be a lot longer. I was surprised that the female lead, don’t remember what she was called was geniunly surprised that Jacob and the others where Werewolf’s! Even when they saved her from the deadlock vampire she didn’t figure it out! Is she the mayor of thick-town?
Cant be bothered writing any more just yet there is more posts on the way if i can finish them this week. I have a few more movies to write small reviews and random thoughts about. And there is a larger post about WrestleMania and the retirement of HBK in the works, I have a fun time remembering things that I have forgotten on the topic of why I like wrestling and what I remember from my childhood and things i will miss now that my all time favourite wrestler has retired, I even shed a tear or two but more on that in a later post now I’m off to Azeroth and run a few random dungeons just to relax.

I have been having a little old TV show revival for the last months and found some old shows and movies that I used to watch or have partially watched. It all started with me watching old Dr.Who stories and found that I haven’t watched any of the older stories at all, I must have watched a few of the third doctor stories because I remember the UNIT mansion and some big force field or similar things. I definitely remember the Baker years because that’s what was shown late nights in the late 80′s early 90′s on BBC here in Sweden.
The old stories I have gotten around to watching are these in no particular order:
Three Doctors, one of the best episodes I have watched so far. Nice to see the different doctors all acting together.
Time Warrior, fun to see the Sontarens in the older shows, I have never seen the Sontarens before the new series.
Dark Shadows arrived but I haven’t watched the show yet so I don’t know how It stacks up with my memories of the show. And I’m probably going to be writing a few posts about that show as I’m watching it.
Kolchak the night stalker another show I have only seen a few episodes off before. But I managed to track down it and will watch it in the next coming weeks and render my verdict on it.
I just found this information about the first three episodes for the Eleventh Doctor, this is from Moffet himself and have been confirmed on several other sites already. Now to just get a release date for when the series starts.
The series begins with The Eleventh Hour written by Moffat himself and is believed to follow directly on from the regeneration in The End of Time. Episode Two is The Beast Below also by Moffat with Episode Three seeing the return of the Doctor’s greatest foe in Victory of the Daleks by Mark Gatiss.
David Tennant winning NTA2010 -- Best actor in a drama series. Two of my favourite British actors where nominated and it really was a hard choice who to vote for. The two actors where David Tennant (Dr.Who) and Philip Glenister (ashes too ashes) I voted for David In this case. If you haven’t seen the End of Time Dr who special don’t watch this clip from the award show as it will spoil things.
I still think its funny how different David sounds using his own voice and not the Dr.Who, I was thoroughly surprised the first time I heard him speak. And listen the the pop he gets and how he give a rub to Matt Smith and the show to use two pro-wrestling terms.
Its good that he actually gets an award as Dr.Who being a sci fi show it gets overlooked in many awards just from not being a classical drama/crime/fiction show.
[
Update: Apparently David and Dr.Who have won awards previously, I was under the falsehood that this was his last Chance to get awarded for his excellence.
I listened to the BBC Dr.Who podcast for The End of Times today and re-watched some of the End of Time , especially the last 20 minutes of the episode, and it was as good as it was the first time I watched it.
Needed to rewatch this montage, watched it a few times after first watching the End of Times, still gives me goose bumps.

Ok I said in a earlier post that I was going to write a bit about the trailer for the fifth series of new doctor who and here is the trailer and some of the things I’m looking forward to in the new series.
[

I’m really happy to see the weeping angels back, and some of the scenes shown are very Gothic and vampiric. Hopefully Moffet don’t go overboard with the whole dark vibe, I’m not convinced that Matt Smith has the range to carry it. Some of the rumours have been that the Ice Warriors will be back, and I thought I saw some of the Draconian’s in the clip as well as Daleks. There is also rumours of Valeyard returning I haven’t seen the Trail of a Timelord episodes but will probably do so in the near future if time permits.
The first episode is called the return of River Song, which could be the missing link where Riversong first meet the Doctor. I really liked the first two episodes with River Song, coincidentally written by Moffet.
Having watched the final Tennant episode I can say that it was way better than the first one and a fitting end to a great Dr.Who. There will be spoilers so if you haven’t watched the episode then you should stop reading right now!

I really liked that they gave Tennant a proper send off and gave him the chance to say goodbye and tie up some loose ends. There where lots of cameos and if you have followed the series you will be pleasantly surprised. The end sequence is very emotional and the final lines from the 10th doctor is really heartfelt and emotional, I wont spoil the lines here but they are fitting to the character and how he evolved throughout the series.

The final line!
David played the doctor brilliant, the facial expressions, his eyes in this scene all awesome. The fair well was heartfelt and genuine, Matt Smith will have big shoes to fill this spring when the fifth series starts.
But back to some of my other jumbled thoughts about the End of Time episode, it was good that the master was toned down in the second part as he was too crazy in the first one and he needed to have some deep conversations with the doctor. The dialogue between the Master and the Doctor was very emotional but on a completely other level. One line in particular stick out in my mind “What would I be without you?” and in the final showdown when the doctor was pointing the gun at the master and you could see in the doctors eyes he couldn’t shoot the master. Bringing back the conversation with Wilf earlier that the Master started out taking just one innocent life. The Doctor also admits that he has taken many life’s and that he in fact is more like the Master than he wants to admit, he don’t use brute force but instead he learned to use his mind and tricked people into killing themselves. One of my favourite episodes was Human Nature/Family of Blood and the end scene that was just so powerful and displayed some of the qualities that the Doctor was trying to repress.
Back to the End of Time episode the conversation with Wilf when he wanted the Doctor to take his gun and he refused was a powerful scene. Ill get back to the gun thing when I discuss the teaser trailer for the series five with Matt Smith as the Doctor.
The second episode was well paced and had a bit of humour to lighten up the mood so it wouldn’t be all dark and gloomy. The villains in the episode where great, Simm is the first person to be credited in the opening credits for playing a villain. I have read lots of people complaining that Timothy Dalton wasn’t a good casting choice for the lord-president, they wanted to have Patrick Stewart instead. Having a prominent star trek actor play the lord-president would be a big mistake in my opinion, Dalton did a great job as the insane lord-president. I recently watched the old episode “The Three Doctors” and I started thinking about Rassilion and Omega did the gauntlet that Rassilion wore come from Omega and are there a connection between the Lord-President and Omega other than the obvious. Did Rassilion help Omega make is psychic suit or was that part of Timelord technology at that time?
After the Timelords have been sent back and the earth saved yet again. And its revealed that he needs to save Wilf at the expense of his own life. The rant the Doctor goes on even though I never intends for a moment on leaving Wilf to die is amazing, I really liked the twist at the end of The Waters of Mars where the Doctor starts to question why he cant change history and why he cant decide who lives and who dies and starts raging against the fading light. He faces his own demise and then he leaves to claim his reward, this was a fitting and emotional farewell to the Doctor and his companions.
Im going to write about the Doctors reward and the teaser trailer in another post as I’m getting set to watch the Confidential episode for End of Time part Two.
I just finished watching the first part of the two part Dr.Who story and It didn’t turn out how I expected. If you don’t want spoilers stop reading right now.

So I had super high expectation of this episode as they would bring back Simm as The Master, I have been a big fan of Simm ever since I first saw him in Life on Mars a few years ago. Well on to the episode then, my number one complaint is that I shows that they have scaled back the effects and budget in the first episode I was expecting more over the top things. But back to the master he was brought back as he had anticipated being killed and had a backup plan ready but something went wrong and he was left a shadow of his former self, eating away his life force. And boy is he insane, he was over the top insane in the sound of drums but in this one is more mental than ever, a more scary and dark insanity this time. They called the masters new look emo-master as Simm had bleached hair and a dark hoody and not the suit from sound of drums.

The new and resurrected master is played with such energy and anger its fun to watch and you actually believes that the master will kill the doctor right away when they first meet in the episode. I also like the aliens the “watcha-ma-callits” they had a awfully complicated name but the spiky make-up looked brilliant.
Tennant was brilliant as always, he started out all happy and funny and after meeting the Oods and realised that all his stalling the inevitable have put his friends and companions in danger on earth. The scene with the master when he tries to hep him as he tried before in the end of Last of the Time Lords. The master and the doctor has a storied relationship, unfortunately I haven’t watched all of the older Dr.Who with the master in them. This is something Im going to do when I have the time.
Another Tennant scene is the on with Wilk in the dinner when the doctor remiss that he is about to die and be changed forever losing what made him the 10th doctor and a new man will walk away.
The end cliffhanger was brilliant, I wonder who the two persons are that’s behind the high lord hiding their faces and if they will play a part in the final episode.
“The day the Time Lords returned, for Gallifrey, for Victory, for the End of Time itself!”
