So after looking into more cellphone things, I have narrowed my search to Nokia cellphones for the moment. The models I’m looking into are the X6 and the 5800 model.

The 5800 model has a weaker camera only 3.2 MP same as my old N73 which isn’t bad for a cell phone but not good either. I wanted the phones to have wlan which makes transferring files and syncing so much easier. My current cell phone is not at all good at cable syncing, I have to use a slow ass Bluetooth connection to get it to work properly. The N73 has a faulty cable connection which drops the connection all the freaking time.

The X6 has a 5Mp camera and also got a wlan, it has 16GB built in memory so there is a lot of room for my podcasts and training music. Which brings me to my other big selling point I want a phone that will actually get me out and exercise, in this case running. So the phone needs to have a GPS and I have been looking into the Nokia sports tracking software and thinks its going to be great to keep track of my progress with that. Both these phones support the sports tracking software so they are even at that point, but the X6 has the better camera for taking pictures along the routes. I haven’t actually felt how the phones feel, the shape and weight of them so that is something I will have to check out before making up my mind on which phone if any to get. I haven’t really decided if this is the right time to buy a new phone, or if I should wait until I have finished moving or not.
Here are some of the YouTube clips I looked into while choosing the phone
[
I’m leaning more towards the 5800 as its cheaper than the X6 and it comes with 8GB and can be upgraded to 16GB so that should last me a good while, as I’m currently using about 2GB but that means having to delete stuff every 2 days or so and that’s a real ball ache with the faulty cable on my N73
So this weekend and Monday and Tuesday I have been moving boxes and furniture and hopefully It will be sorted this week so I can focus on getting my school work done for the end of term. I’m actually amazed how much I have gotten done in a few days, so I’m both stoked and tired, the weather has been awesome and not at all designed for carrying heavy stuff. But to help with the dehydration and other things I managed to cook up some home made energy drink, consisting of:
- Dextros
- Salt
- Boiled water
- and squash or cordial depending on what’s its called in your part of the world
It worked out way above my expectations, and after a glass you felt reinvigorated and ready for more hard labour. So hopefully this will keep me from falling over for heat stroke in the next few days
Now its time for some relaxation and some classic starcraft YouTube commentary conducted by moletrap

Almost dug all the snow out from around the car and now its started to snow again. *sigh* But that’s what you get for not digging it out straight away after snowfall. I haven’t been to the gym in almost two weeks or so and haven’t done back exercises in quite a while before that so my back is sore after shovelling snow. I have tried doing low impact exercises like push-ups and squats while not doing cardio or heavy workouts as I have been battling a minor case of the flue.
Hopefully there isn’t much snow today so I can do the rest of the car later tonight
As most people that know me already know I’m trying to get in better shape and lose the extra pounds I have put on over the years. I don’t have a massive amount of extra weight but anyhow, I have read tons of training guides and actually find it fun to put together some new training regiments ever so often, this not to lose interest in training.
I watch pro wrestling and MMA and there’s always lots of talk about how people stay in shape and the perfect physique is always displayed. And I do know this isn’t a new problem and exists in all media, but I’m just focusing on pro wrestling and MMA for now. This isn’t as big a problem in MMA as its in pro wrestling, but this fall there have been a few instances that have made a fair bit of press.
Lets start in MMA as I probably need to write two posts one for MMA and one for Pro-wrestling as it will take me to long to write both at once. I have been more and more annoyed with Dana White in the last months and the many stupid comments and decisions he makes. But anyhow Dana said in the resent TuF season that Nelson have “the worst physique in professional sports” and earlier Dana have said that if Roy Nelson is to fight in the UFC he needed to lose that belly.

Yes Roy Nelson hasn’t a chiselled physic but he has won season 10 of the ultimate fighter a former IFL Heavy weight champion. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Renzo Gracie. So he is a legitimate fighter and I also called him being the winner of the TuF 10 season, when I heard that he was partaking in the reality show.
The UFC is trying to distance themselves from its past where fighters like Tank Abbott ruled the octagon, they want chiselled and charismatic and skilled fighters like Georges “Rush” St-Pierre, Roy Nelson is two of those things.

Going back a few years I recently came across a list of the top ten stories of the past 10 years from the sherdog website. On number three there is Bob Sapp and how the Japanese people where fascinated with his sheer size, he had a chiselled physic and he could sort of fight back in the day. He last suffered a loss to the former amateur wrestler Bobby Lashley, who now has signed with Strikeforce. Bobby Lashley is also doing Pro-wrestling currently in TNA but I will probably talk more about that later.

Lets look at the Japanese “freak show” element of the MMA scene. The Japanese and asian market have been known to put on “freak show” MMA bouts from time to time. The first thing that comes to mind is Choi Hong-man or Hong man-Choi a 7’2” 300+ pound freak of nature, not a very good fighter but he has the size and look that the Japanese like. Another thing that comes to mind is the use of Akebono in both MMA and Pro-wrestling matches.
Also on the sherdog list is the fighter that is a called the face of female MMA Gina Carano, and this brings me to talk about the females in MMA and Pro wrestling. The reason why I started writing this blog post in the first place, Gina daughter of a famous NFL QB.

Gina Carano - American Gladiators
Gina at a weigh in and competing in American Gladiators, she is according to information 5′ 8″ tall and roughly 140 pounds. I would actually put her weight around 155-160 pounds as she has had problems cutting weight before fights and coming in heavy. She is considered the face of female mixed martial arts, she is a talented fighter and was undefeated until she meet Cris Cyborg Santos and got destroyed. This was a marketed as a classic beauty vs beast match up, but Cris was just to big to strong and manhandled Gina in their fight It wasn’t even close. Gina hasn’t fought or even trained since the loss on August 15 2009. But the MMA world hopes that she can come back a put together a few wins to build for a rematch with Cyborg to be a big PPV draw.

Cris Cyborg Santos

Gina Carano
Cris Cyborg is the same height as Gina 5’8” and billed as weighing 145 pounds i would also put her weight closer to 155-160, this is walking around weight. So both fighters are in my opinion a lot heaver than their fighting weight class but that nothing new as most fighter cut at least 15 pounds to make their fighting weight, but that another discussion.

There has been lots of talk about how unfeminine Cris looks and that Gina is fat and has cancles but nonetheless there is talk about Cris doing a playboy shoot during 2010 but that’s still unconfirmed. This has me thinking of the playboy shoots Jonie Lauer did while being with the WWE but more on that later when I dive into the Pro wrestling aspect of this in part II.
Again I messed up the date for my exam and still thought I had a week and a half to study, but I only had a few days. Never mind I’m still taking the exam and hope I pass, and now I’m coming down with a cold or something. Had a massive headache last night and now my throat feels like like S*it ,some ginger tea will make me feel better.
Had a three day rest period from training, hopefully I can manage to drag myself to train tomorrow. Need to change up my workout routines so I can get the pump-on with all my exercise routines, been slacking in the gym for the last 6 months or so. I have started again with the 100 push-up program but only doing it at 75% as I do weights in addition to the push-up program. I’m getting older so I don’t recover as fast any more and that sucked, why didn’t I start training when I was younger!
Better get some last minute reading done before heading the exam in a few hours.
I know that’s a cliché title but who give a c*ap not me. I’m just finishing up the last 5 mins of the Thursday night NFL game between the Colts and the Jaguars, the Colts just took back the lead .
Tomorrows going to be a busy day, lots of stuff to get sorted before Christmas week. Starting out I need to do some cooking and maybe some baking if I have the time and the energy. Also I need to try and do some laundry as all my training gear is dirty and I need to get a few sessions in the beginning of the week. I bought another Christmas present for myself a pair of decent headphones so I can actually do some training without worrying about dropping my headphones. This has been a problem for me in the past especially when running on the treadmill. I have done two stints of cardio this past week with my new headphones and I have noticed the difference with having good music when doing boring stuff like running. If I have the urge later I will do a little writeup of my headphones but for now this will have to do. I have also tried running holding dumbbells to warm-up and do a different kind of exercise for my upper body and It worked out very well. But my arms are going numb after awhile so I have to have the dumbbells hanging at your sides for a bit while the blood rushed back.
Another of my to-do things tomorrow is setting up some auctions to sell alot of my stuff, mainly course books and other uni-related things. Have boxes of books that need to go, they are just sitting in the basement as of late so no reason to keep them. Probably going to sell my role-playing books if I can get a good price for them.
Also planning on doing a gym-session and dig out the car while the weather is good and not so bloody cold. And not to forget there is massive amounts of sports to watch tomorrow, WEC, Strikeforce and the Saturday night NFL game between Dallas and the Saints. I haven’t gotten around to picking winners in the MMA PPV’s this week so haven’t really a good grasp of which fights are going to be exiting. I do know that a few fights have been changed and some had trouble making weight.
I have been sick and have other aches and pains that kept me from working out during the last two months or so. So now its back to square one again, what little cardio I had is now gone and my weight limits are severely reduced. So I decided to start out slow not to overdo it or hurt myself in the process.
So now I’m back to two or three sessions a week, or at least I hope so. Lasts week I only managed two sessions before I hurt my knee doing squats on the smith machine. Must have not recouped from the dancing the week before, because I warmed up and everything.
Today I had the first of this week did arms and neck exercise and only 15 minutes of running as my knees aren’t healed yet. So there is no leg sessions this week and probably not any back exercises either.
So my plans for tomorrow 15-20 minute cardio run and some tricep or shoulder exercises. My next project is to actually make a section here on my site with all the different training schedules I’m doing, mainly to keep myself motivated to go back to the gym and do the boring stuff. Well enough for now I’m going to bed need to get up early tomorrow.
Well the assignment isn’t coming along as planned, only 746 words today, need to spend all day tomorrow on it. And get at least three of the four questions done.
At least I managed to get one of my weekly workouts done, I need to redo my workout rutin for at the moment I have lost so much strength and conditioning. Had a few weeks of no training, first I where sick and then I managed to hurt my ribs. And on top of that I went down south for a week and now I´m back where I started, or worse. I have been keeping a record of my weight programs and how much cardio I do and now I cant even finish one entire part of my weekly four-split program and that is not fun. I just run out of gas and cant lift the weights or my heart rate just skyrockets when doing my cardio.
So trying to mix it up and get some strength and cardio back, I’m planning on putting together a circuit training schedule to mix up my training and see if that helps me getting out this slump. And I’m gonna try the hundred push ups training program saw this on a friends blog and might give it a shot. I did the initial test before I started my workout and managed to get a level 4.
Ahh better get back to writing or something, ill leave you with this song.
to start blogging again, haven’t done this in a while now. The fall semester have started and there is lots of work ahead, due to the fact that I have been slacking for a few years at the university. Another reason to start blogging is that one of the courses I’m planning on taking involves posting a blog.
Got a pleasant surprise this morning my weight is moving in the right direction, now I’m within spiting distance of BMI: 25 and that’s awesome, then I maybe fit into my sexy jeans in a few months time
Well its time to go soon and get some reading done.
Edit: Just fixing some layout things, because I imported this from Blogger.
Where to start…will probably get a kitten sometime during the holidays, if all goes as planned
a fluffy ginger one
Last Friday I went out too watch some of my mates perform at a local rock club, will publish some pictures from that night as well as some other pictures I have found. Had a slight breakdown with my cellphone, I updated the interface and haven’t bothered to set it up on the computer until this morning (Due too my WoW realm being down for maintenance).
I have been cheating with my workout schedule the last couple of weeks…but I have been losing some weight nonetheless. But my measurements have not been good too me. Lets just hope I will still fit into my suit for New years dinner
I will give all you Horror Movie Freaks out there a tip, I know I have mentioned some of the movies before but…I know they have gotten bad reviews but don’t let that discourage you.
Speaking of horror stuff, watch the christmas special for Supernatural, its brilliant. Supernatural is my new favorite show currently running.
A day without sun shine is like, you know, night.
